The talented french man Leo Arnold has been investing the last few years in fine tuning a conceptual album he absolutely wanted to dedicate to Archipel. It was worth the time because he came out with a monster project, which is a unique personal twist of what could be a movie score, ready to subjugate a dance floor, with both ingenuously crafted spaces and hypnotic grooves. We picked 2 songs for you to spend some time dreaming, dancing eyes closed. We believe this will be one record that won't leave your bag.
Montreal based imprint Victims Music Company is back with the Contradiction Ep from trio Thee FFF. Thee FFF members are Felix Da Housecat and Hoopalaï, a duo composed by Montreal's François Lebaron and Frédéric Laurier which recently been signed on Kindisch/Get Physical.
The title track Contradiction lays down a statement vocal by Lebaron supported by a bumpy chicago bassline over minimal percussions, synths and abstract rural soundscapes creating a warm slow techno rolling energy. We can de nitely feel Felix's very owned hook in this groovy piece.
The title All This is a serious deep track with more meat to go around which will certainly brings sweat on the oor with its sharp arpeggiator groove and 5 am oriented bassline. The breakdown creates a drama UK vibe before pulling you back into a delighfully subtle acid rythmic atmosphere.
Meet Him In Lisbon - This project is born out of a live jam, all tracks are writen by Miguel Graça & Christian Pronovost and capture the spirit of Pronto's "of the moment philosophie".
"Meet him in Lisbon" is a detroit vibe warm and dark techno track with textural and shadowy bits.
Another rare session recording, this time just Marc Neyen & Pheek exploring hypnotic grooves.
